We are proud that the Irish Open has evolved in to the largest and most
prestigious tournament in Europe, run by fighters for fighters in Aid of Charity
(ISPCC). The new Hotel and venue, with the extra capacity and warm up
spaces, coupled with the extended divisions and the inclusion of Full Contact
and Musical Forms competition. has got a lot of you very excited. We have had an
unprecedented interest in next year’s event already with over 240 rooms booked
at this early stage. We have confirmation from 22 countries already and it
is growing by the day. I do hope things are good with you and your

The Unique Irish Open
Our
sport and our athletes do not get the recognition they deserve. We have a
wonderful sport that deserves recognition and this was the main idea surrounding
our night time show of semi contact and light contact finals and it really
worked well for the athletes and spectators, with an atmosphere and level of
competition rarely seen in the
World at any time. It
is a just reward for getting to the final of one of the most prestigious
tournaments in the world today. We will continue with this winning formula
in 2010.
The 2009 Open ran very
smoothly with each day finishing exactly on time. It really was our best
organized event to date. Online registration helped greatly, as did the new
security company and people barriers, all adding to a professional approach and 
effective
positive image for the athletes and spectators.
We are proud of our
association with the Irish Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Children,
our chosen charity. ALL profits from the event are donated to this just and
worthy charity. NOBODY at the Irish Open is paid for their services. All
volunteers give freely of their time and services to support the charity, our
sport, and fellow martial artists.
It is not easy to put to
paper the electric atmosphere that was present in 2009. The standard of fighting
again went up another level, the quality was inspiring. Love it or hate it,
it is unique, run by fighters for fighters in aid of charity. This was prevalent,
when you see the amazing cash prizes, trophies and individual trophies - all
unique and unmatched in the world.
All
teams must be FULLY registered on or before 27th February. ABSOLUTELY no late
registrations will be accepted.

minutes from Dublin City Centre, it is set on 380 acres site, the arena has the
capacity for over 6,000 Seated people. With the floor area for fifteen
large areas (7x7 mtr) and significant warm up area. It is one of the most
amazing arenas we have ever seen and will bring the Irish Open participation to
a whole new level. It has a full leisure centre with a swimming pool
available for all participants free of charge.
Leisure Club.
That is attached to the hotel
has got a large 20meter pool with full spa facilities and large 6,000 square
foot gym and two studios which is fully equipped with all kickboxing equipment.
(Punch bags, full mated floor, kicking shields and free standing bags). The
leisure club also has a crèche facility on site for smaller kids to be dropped
